What Books Should I Take on Holiday?

So I am going on holiday on Monday and don't know what books to take? I am thinking of taking beach books but then all the books which I have gotten from Publishers and Authors for review aren't those sort of books!
Anyway I am going to take 6. 3 are books which need to be reviewed (books from Publishers etc) and 3 are just ones I have brought myself.
(BTW I do review all the books I read, by review books I mean books I have received for review)

Review Pile (Books received from Publishers)

Brought Pile (Books brought or swapped)

Leave a comment with which 3 books you would take from the Review Pile and which 3 from the Brought Pile?
I will take at least the top 3!

  1. wow!! AMAZING books. I would definitely vote for The Summer I Turned Pretty. This is THE BEST vacation read ever. Also Rosebush and Not That Kind of Girl.

For review pile i would suggest: Slide (EEK!! im DYING to read this!), Mad Love, and maybe Swim the fly? (dont know about it but cover looks vacationy)

    Enjoy your vacation!!

  2. Sooo difficult. I can see why you have a hard time deciding.

    Hmm, I'd pick:
    Slide, Bumped and Glow
& The Summer I Turned Pretty, Leaving Paradise and Not That Kind of Girl.

No matter what you choose, I hope you enjoy them. And I'm looking forward to your reviews!

    Have a lovely holiday,

  6. Oooh, have a fun holiday! I usually bring a ton of books on holiday and then end up reading none of them as I'm too busy doing other stuff! lol! Since I got my e-reader its a lot easier. Saves space!

I'd recommend Swim the Fly (so funny!) and The Summer I turned Pretty (perfect for holiday reading!)

Totally want to read Rosebush too!

  7. Ooo, I wish I had a holiday to read that many books!

I would choose Glow, Bumped and Lisel & Po from the review pile and Jessie NYC, Rosebush and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Enjoy your time off - I'm not jealous much! :)

  8. FOR SURE the Summer I turned Pretty. And lets be serious here, you should just take the rest of the series with you too cause you are so gonna want them. Beyond that, I would only say that I really was annoyed with Not that kind of girl.

  17. Depends where you're going on holiday and what sort of feel you want - for example, if you're going somewhere wintery I would take Dash and Lily and if you're going somewhere hot, take The Summer I turned Pretty :)

  20. Slide, Bumped and Liesl and Po :)

  21. From the review pile: I loved Glow, but it's definitely not for everyone. All of the characters are pretty messed up and it's kinda like watching a train wreck--horrifying, but you can't pull your eyes away!

I DNF-ed Liesl and Po, but I'm not a Lauren Oliver fan. I haven't read Mad Love, but I liked her other book Coffeehouse Angel.

Bought pile: I DNF-ed Rosebush because it took a long time to get into the mystery and I'm impatient :) I liked Leaving Paradise a lot though. Bring tissues with you if you read that one!
