.... The Blurb  ....
One year. Twelve strangers. An unbreakable contract.

The first time I saw the secluded mountain-top villa, I thought it was beautiful.
Then I met the powerful men who owned such a place. They forced me to bow down before I knew their names. Exposed me to their hungry eyes.

I’m their prisoner for a year.

This is all thanks to my dead father. He left me a massive diamond mine. Everyone here wants it… marrying me is the only way.

12 months. Each one dedicated to a different gorgeous, wicked man to do as he pleases. And at the end they’ll fight over me in an auction.

There’s no love here. No kindness.
That’s what I tell myself so I can resist.
Because if I thought for a second that one of these tempting strangers could fall for me, heart and soul, I’d lose the only power I have.

If I fall in love…
That’s when I’ll truly surrender.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- This is a quick read.
- The blurb intrigued me.
- I look forward to the rest in the series

In Long
The blurb for this book really intrigued me and I have finished Sir Jasper feeling as intrigued about the rest of the series.

Sir Jasper is a quick book. There isn't a huge amount of character building but I felt it was enough for the first book in the series. Marjorie has me feeling mixed feelings towards her. She has lived a spoilt life and is very naïve. I did find myself still liking her despite how her naivety leads to her being easily lead.

I can't wait to get to know the other men which we have been given a glimpse of in this book and to see if Marjorie was right with her first impressions.

Final Thoughts
Sir Jasper is a quick read which I enjoyed and look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

.... The Blurb  ...

I'm the devil's spawn.
The son of evil incarnate.
The heir to corruption and depravity.

Gabrielle Duval once belonged to me. And whether she likes it or not, she's destined to be mine again. What will it take to lure this luscious woman back into my bed? A deal with the devil himself, of course.

My name is JD Wilder, and this is the story of how I reclaim what's mine.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
Although the first half was slow the second half really picked up and unravelled.
-  I loved JD and his interactions with secondary characters.
- I wasn't able to bond much more with Gabrielle.

In Long
Delivered has left me feeling really conflicted when it comes to my feelings and how to write my review. This book is pretty much spilt in half for me when it comes to rating. The first half would probably be 3 stars and the second half would be 4 stars, hence my rating of 3.5 stars.

First off the book grabbed me pretty quickly. I loved how there wasn't dragging anything out and things started where they were left. That said things really slowed down quite quickly and for the first 55% I found the book just didn't keep my attention.

I struggled to bond with Gabrielle in Depraved and sadly I found the same in Delivered, mainly the first half. I could understand her grief and that people deal with it differently but I found her actions really vague and didn't get her at all. Second half I started to like her a lot more.

I really like JD, he keeps you on your toes throughout the book and his actions are pretty unpredictable. His interactions with other characters, especially Smith, totally won my heart over. I loved their banter.

As I said above, the story line is pretty slow the first half and it didn't grab me at all. That said, the second half made the wait worth it and the story really unravelled.

Final Thoughts
Delivered has left me with mixed feeling but over all I enjoyed reading the conclusion to this duet.

.... The Blurb  ...

I’m an all-or-nothing man—100 percent focused on whatever has my attention.

First it was serving my country in the Special Forces. Then it was building my business. Right now it’s the hot blonde at the bar who’s about to become another notch on my bedpost.

But women never keep my attention for more than a night.

Until I peel off Skylar Anderson’s clothes and her mask starts to crumble, showing me glimpses of the girl she’s hiding. She’s funny, sexy and vulnerable and throws me out of bed before I can catch my breath and suggest breakfast.

When I start my last undercover job on a yacht, turns out, she’s one of the crew. I try, but I can’t look away.

Her high ponytail shows off her kissable neck that tastes like summer.

Her short uniform reveals the killer legs that were wrapped around me last night.

And her provocative smile? I know what that mouth is capable of.

I want to explore her body, discover her secrets and sail off into the sunset with her.

I might want to go all in for Skylar, but she should stay away from me. I’ve got secrets of my own and they can only bring her trouble.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
The Wrong Gentleman is a well written book.
- The story line is a slower paced read.
- Over half way in to the book things stepped up and I became a lot more interested.

In Long
The Wrong Gentleman has great potential and is written well book but was too slow paced for me. I found I struggled to bond with the characters which is important with a slower paced read to keep your interest.

I felt they were missing chemistry between Landon and Skylar and needed a bit more quirkiness, fun or something between them.

Skylar is a hard working, caring character who I did like but craved more depth from her, I felt like a lot of her time, too much, is spent thinking and re going over her family's history and why she needs to avoid men.
Landon showed more personality and I totally admire his caring and selfless ways. His a strong character who I came to really like.
I enjoyed Skylar's friend, August, but really wished there was more chemistry between them and scenes because alone I really liked August, I felt this was another missed opportunity to add some depth to the characters though.

At 70% things stepped up for the characters and I really enjoyed got in to the rest of the book, it just needed that little bit of drama

Final Thoughts
As I said, it's a well written book which had a unique sparkle to it I just would have liked a little more drama.

.... The Blurb  ...

Gwen:

I was stripped of all my own desires and wants when I was married to my ex-husband. I now carry a list with me—a list that will help me choose a man that will put me first in life. Then the storm cloud of an entitled millionaire appears in my life and knocks me off my axis. This man sends so many mixed signals, my body either quakes with anger or passion when I’m around him.

I'm his son's teacher and his tenant, but I find myself wanting more.

Leo:
My life is run with precision with little regard for others until a woman in crazy clothes challenges me to be a better father. She’s one of the few people that puts me in my place and maybe for this very reason—I want her more than I can articulate. With her failed marriage and list of requests she needs from her next partner, I know she’s my future. My life is less than perfect, and with it—baggage that follows me everywhere. Does she want my kind of crazy in her life?

I'm her landlord and an a**hole, but I find myself wanting more.

Where to begin? For starters, you must love coffee...

After all, 425 Madison Avenue is the perfect place to fall in love.

Each story is a complete standalone.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
A sweet romance which follows to heart broken characters.
- A great book to sit and relax with.
- There were some missed opportunities to have made certain scenes more intense than they were.

In Long
Must Love Coffee is a sweet, heart warming story which follows two characters that are both going through their own issues.

The chemistry and quirkiness between the two main characters really added to the story but, personally, I like a few more fireworks and felt there was some missed opportunities. That said Leo was totally swoon worthy and just what Gwen needs. Gwen is a bit more reserved though and Leo has a battle on his hands.

The story line was slow paced and a few things which did arise weren't built up to what they could have been. Especially a chapter with Gwen's daughter that I felt could have been a lot more intense and built up.

One of the characters goes through quite a big change of heart early on the book. I found this quite unrealistic and a missed chance for the reader to go through a journey with this character, it was very sudden, too sudden for me without the needed development. For me, how they went from stone hearted to gentle hearted person was too sudden and it wasn't until much later when their story and heart break was revealed it was clearer why they acted how they did. It felt like a missed opportunity which could have been a good journey for that character.

Final Thoughts
Must Love Coffee is a great book to sit and relax with, it doesn't offer much in the way in suspense or gripping scenes but makes for a perfect chill out book which everyone needs at some point.

Quotes
'Every time I see you, you make my day brighter.'

'This is what this women does to me. She makes me lose my mind in her presence.'

'You've brought colour back into my life and shined a light I hadn't seen for a while.'

'She's my piece of heaven - and my little bit of devil that only I get to see.'

.... The Blurb  ...

TO: The guy who dumped me because of my career
FROM: The woman hired to advance yours
RE: I am 150,000% over you.
Alastair,

I’m on the 11:14 train out of London, so I’ll be there by 3:00. To make this as painless as possible, I thought it would help to establish key ground rules:
1. No rehashing our past relationship. Yes, we were engaged, but it’s been twelve years and I’m over you.
2. I’m very good at my job and that job is to help you shed the “reclusive” part of the whole “reclusive rock star” vibe you’ve got going on. Brace yourself.
3. My plan is to have this wrapped up by Friday, so save your smoldering looks until I’m gone, please. (I assume you still smolder?) I’m immune now. See item #1.
4. My cousin is getting married and guess who's a bridesmaid? Funny, huh? Almost as funny as the fiancée you dumped because you thought she was married to her job now saving yours.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Except almost. That one time.
Remi

P.S. Have I mentioned I’m totally, completely 150,000% over you?

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
Maid in England is a charming and sweet read.
- Alastair is a closed book and wouldn't have liked to get to know him more.
- Remi and Alastair go on a real soul searching journey.

In Long
Maid in England is a sweet book which charmed my socks off. There are some irresistibly sweet scenes which makes you want to say 'aww' a loud.

It is a slower paced book and because of this it took me a while to get in to and I felt like I didn't click much with the two main characters. That said they both do go on a journey in this book and Remi is hopelessly innocent and funny in many scenes.

Alastair is quite a closed book through much of this book and I felt like maybe it just took too long for his character to come out more because, when it did, I really enjoyed this read much more.

Despite the many sweet scenes I really did crave a bit more steam and chemistry. I felt like they just needed a lift me up between them and this could have been the answer. Something was missing for me and maybe this would have made them feel a bit more intense.

Final Thoughts
Maid in England isn't one which had me holding my breath and although, for me, it didn't have that wow factored, I still enjoyed this charming, sweet read with two characters which went on a life changing journey together.

Quotes
'Because the truth is, I can't solve this puzzle either, but damn if it doesn't feel like the pieces of my heart are clicking into place.'

.... The Blurb  ...

Hoax knows two things very well.

One, he’s not relationship material. Two, the nurse that treats him for erectile dysfunction is the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, and practically has ‘the marrying type’ stamped on her forehead.

Does that stop him from wanting her? No.

Unfortunately, he learned a long time ago that Army Delta Force and long-lasting relationships don’t go hand in hand.
But beautiful hazel eyes, curly blonde hair, and the prettiest lips he’s ever seen play havoc with his resolve, making him forget his earlier convictions.

All it takes is one teeny, tiny kiss for every shred of control he has to disappear, along with the problem in his pants.
Soon he finds himself doing things that he knows that he shouldn’t. He doesn’t know that he’s found the woman that’s meant to be his. Nor does he realize that her father is the man he’s idolized from the moment he joined the army at the age of eighteen. Because, maybe if he had, he would’ve tried a little harder to ignore the pull he felt between them instead of making her his the night before he deployed for six months.

He also might’ve tried a little harder not to knock her up.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
My Bad has left me with mixed feelings.
- I really liked both the main characters, situations aside.
-I disliked how Hoax treated his cousin.

In Long
My Bad is a book which has left me feeling really spilt when it comes to reviewing. There are many things I really enjoyed about this book but there are also things which I didn't enjoy or disagreed with.

My Bad has strong characters which, as the reader, you are able to get to know throughout the book and I really enjoyed this. I definitely felt the two main characters are the best and strongest bit about the book. Pru and Hoax together are full of chemistry and I loved seeing this.

Some points in the book made me feel a bit disappointed. Hoax is a character who I really liked but I felt he made a bad decision when it came to a family member and treated the situation and the girl badly and very unkind. I found it hard to like him as much after that.

There is also a scene where Pru is hitting Hoax, I felt it really went against her character and also felt very wrong. It's never okay to hit like that.

The writing style is different from what I usually enjoy, I found there was a lot of shorter sentences and some chapters which didn't really need to 'be' there. However Lani's talent to create addictive characters mean't I still really enjoyed this.

Final Thoughts
My Bad was an enjoyable read, I loved getting to know Pru and Hoax. The story line is slower paced but it mostly kept my attention.

Quotes
'Theres a certain type of bonding that you do with your baby's new boyfriend and smelling his sh*t in a bathroom isn't one of them.'

'I've only known him for a very short time, but he's insinuated himself right in the middle of my world, and I cant stop thinking about him.'

.... The Blurb  ...

She nearly ruined him. Now she needs him to save her.

It was supposed to be a simple protection job.
Or, at least, that’s what Gavino Calvetti thinks until it’s too late.
But he soon finds out this job is far from normal.
It’s quite suicidal, in fact.

The little “Sky” he is in charge of protecting is the same one he’d soon rather see dead.
She nearly ruined him.
Nearly ripped him away from his familia.
She cost him dozens of scars,
Years of regret,
And an underlining hatred for anything related to her.

His brothers always hint about his scarred flesh,
But they never understand the reason he keeps his lips sealed.

Now she needs him to save her life,
But the question still remains …

Which man should she be afraid of?

The man she’s running from,
Or the man she’s racing toward?

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
Scars and Silk is a very quick read.
- Fast paced and full of 'omg' moments.
-So much I want to know!

In Long
This is a hard book for me to review because its such a short one therefore everything I would normally review a book on, such as the depth of the characters , wouldn’t be fair to judge this book on as there isn't the time as such. At the same time it needs to be a fair review. So here it goes.

Scars and Silk is fast paced, I mean action packed and full of ‘omg’ moments that doesn’t let up. Maybe this made the book seem even shorter as it went so quickly and I felt disappointed it had ended. Guess that means the author achieved what she would want to as i want to read more.

There is so much I want to know. I feel like we know nothing but yet it was enough to keep me wanting and needing more. Gavino is a complete mystery and definitely isn’t a lovable character but I feel he has the potential to show another side of his character which as a reader i would definitely love to see.   Oh and I totally just saw this is part of a series which I definitely want to read. This book will definitely leave you wanting more.

Final Thoughts

I am excited for this series and to find out everything I am desperate to know. I feel this book set up the rest of the series nicely.
