I can't see anyone preferring PB 1 to PB 2? I love the colours and the gorgeous picture in PB 2, that is the sort of picture I would love up in my house! So pretty. PB 1, what can I say? Boring, dull and way too ... pointless? Seriously can't compare to the PB 2 at all!

I have only put these two up when they are so similar just to show how much a bit of brighter colour can do to improve a cover and make it stand out more. I much prefer HB 2, love the blue sky and also the quote which gives you more information about the book.

I don't really like either of them, neither grab my attention and they certainly wouldn't in a library or shop. The HB definitely wins for me though, I hate books which have text over the whole cover like the PB, I don't get why anyone would think it looks good? Hate it! The HB is simple but isn't that bad.

I don't even know if PB 2 is 'official'? if so it's terrible! So badly edited (if edited at all?) the colours are horrible too! I am not a big lover of the PB 1 but it's so much better than the PB 2! Cute picture but again, dislike the editing (not as much as with PB 2 though!)

I am sorry but PB 2 is laughable, just terrible?  Yes PB 1 isn't amazing but it's SO much better! PB 1 is quite cute and I would definitely pick it up if looking for a light hearted chicklit read. Would I pick up PB 2? Never! Looks like a psychology book!

I like both of these covers, I love the city back ground and the lights. The hardback intrigues me but the PB definitely wins it over for me though, so simple yet awesome with how the background is edited and would definitely make me pick it up with the bright colours.

This one is pretty easy as I really dislike PB 2! Just nothing I like about it at all sadly. PB 1 isn't anything special but it has that added hotness which is enough to win me over. I love the blue theme, makes it feel all mysterious! Oh and this book does sound awesome.

I have a dislike for very bright and bold text like in the PB. Only very rarely do I like I it in covers. The text in the HB is much better. I just feel it makes the book look a little childish. The HB's dark theme is much better than the PB's bright theme!

The girl looks really strange in the HB (Sorry!) Anyway I really dislike both of these covers for different reasons. PB? Yellow? Enough said! The HB isn't much better as it's just too plain for me. Even with a bit more editing it could be a much better cover. I wouldn't pick either of these up - sorry!

They both pretty much make this book seem a little crazy and strange! Haha. I can't stop myself from looking at the HB though. It's so strange and I feel like it must mean something about the book. Totally intrigued me! Not sure if it would make me pick it up though?

I have only just seen the PB and although I like the vibe it gives off about the book I do prefer the HB. I love the sea in pictures, always so pretty and this one has that feeling about it, with how the sun shines through the water etc. The covers give off such different vibes!

Would you think that this is a YA book? No me neither! Although I think the covers are both ok and I don't think I would pick either of them up. HB 2 is more appealing due to the background. I do like how the guy is walking away, going with the title.

I don't really like girls with those sort of tattoos in the PB 2 so I am straight away put off the PB 2 cover. The PB 1 is way too crowded but I much prefer the picture used and I am much more likely to pick this on up from the PB 2 as I like a bit of romance in a book which the PB 1 hints at.

I definitely prefer the HB, although I am not sure whether I would pick it up still as it doesn't seem like my sort of book. The HB is pretty though with the white swan mixed with the other colours in the cover. The PB is very dull compared to it.

The more I look at the HB the more I like it. I love that it really goes well with the title of the book (as the girl is following). It's such a simple cover but it really intrigues me and makes me want to find more out about the storyline.

I definitely think that PB 1 stands out much more because of the lighting and colours. It's really quite pretty in a way. I do dislike all the writing at the top left though, it makes it too crowded. PB 2 is ok, nothing special though and that one too is kind of crowded.

I like both of these covers but again, they are both quite crowded with lots of texts. PB 1 is awesome; I love purple & it's nice and bright therefore stands out (Plus the body ;]). PB 2 is ok. I dislike the pattern coming from the right and if that wasn't there I would like this one a lot more.

I don't love either of these covers, I have heard this is a great book but the cover hasn't ever 'backed' this up for me. I think if I was to choose it would the HB as it's more familiar to me as it's always been the only cover I have seen before now!

I really like both of these covers! I love the flowers in the HB, they stand out much more in real life too. I do like the PB more though, I love the hair, it's so crazy and unique. Definitely stands out more with the bright blonde and the purple dress (yay purple!)

These are such totally different covers. I would never in a million years pick up the PB. It seems like a young male sort of book but the HB seems more like a female book which I would possibly like. Prefer HB but still not a great cover!

I don't really like the HB, it looks like a cover for a film or something instead of for a book. The PB is much better, I think the taglines really keep you wondering what the book is about and promote the book very well. I also just generally prefer the cover.

I really like both of these covers! They both make be intrigued and they are both very unique. The HB is such a strange one I think you will either love it or hate it. The PB is so different from the HB but I love how it's mixed things up with the sky etc.

The UK version doesn't go with the divergent cover - I hate that! That aside I do love the PB, first off it's purple(!!) and secondly I love the leaves, they are so pretty! Not too keen on the HB colours but love the symbol.

These covers seem to represent totally different sort of books. I do prefer the HB, I love the blue butterfly and it's one of the covers which really mess with your mind. The PB is so dull! I do like the font of the title but it's actually quite hard to see the title!

Not a lot of difference, I know, but I want to show how much difference just one small thing can make! I so so prefer the PB. The title on the HB covers looks very computer graphics and really doesn't suit the cover. The title in the PB looks much 'neater' and suits the cover so much more.
