Darkness Before Dawn - J.A. LondonWow! I think this cover takes the whole dresses theme to a new level. I love it!
I know it's not really unique but I think the black and white really adds to this cover.
I love this cover because :
- The dress is so so pretty!
- Really like the font and where it is
- Really like the font and where it is
- Really think the black and white works for this cover
Dislike :
- Really don't like the position of the authors name, I would have preferred it below the title and a bigger font.- Although I like this I don't know whether it's a cover which would make me pick this cover up.
- Maybe just something unique would add to this cover
Wow, this is one of those covers which stands out for so many reasons. I would DEFINITELY pick this one up if I saw it on a shelf.
I love this cover because :
- This cover tells you so much so quickly and really goes with the title
-I love water in covers and love how the water is used in this one
- The colours used really makes this stand out, love the blurb with the white
- I definitely want to pick this one up and read the blurb to find out what the book is about
- The express of the persons face tells you that this book may be a difficult read

When I am back from holiday I will be taking the time to comment on all blogs who have commented and blog hopping - I used to comment on blogs everyday but since working it's impossible to find the time.
I haven't seen either of these before but I really like the top on. But it's maybe a design that is a bit overused now and has lost a lot of it's impact.

I love all the pretty dresses in this series. I don't really like the way the one R is flipped backwards and the other isn't, though I can see WHY the designer did that. And yes, DROWNING INSTINT is a very unique cover. Much better than Blick's first cover. I agree, the author's name is way too small!
ReplyDeleteI love the Darkness Before Dawn cover! It always makes me think of the Fallen series (I'm pretty sure it's the same cover artist). I agree about the author's name, it would be better on the bottom.
ReplyDeleteBoth I haven't seen and both are really cool. The first though, yeah I agree with most people... reminds me of Fallen. But the second is very unique! Great picks!

ReplyDeleteI'm not overly keen on the first cover, it reminds me too much of the Fallen series. I prefer covers to be a bit more unique
