Is it picky and mean to say the lady in the HB cover looks a bit evil but in a weird way? Like not a 'cool' evil whereas l love the paperback. Totally love the pattern on her face. Also she is pretty which l know sounds mean to the lady on the HB.
The colour also leads to the mystery feel of the book.
I think after reading the blurb the paperback suits the story more too!

I don't 'love' either of these. I feel the book is so much better than the cover, just too plain!
But l like the HB more because l feel the patten looks like birds (it's mean't to right?) which makes me think of 'freedom' which links so much to this book!
Like l said about though these covers are both so plain, even the colour is!

HB l think is also the re-released book. Well l am actually confused about this. Is this out in the USA yet? As the name has been changed too. Let me know if you know!
Anyway onto the covers, l seen the PB one first but the girl looks so .. weird? .. in it? I don't love either of them but l like the Angel Burn one more .. even though l like everything in the paperback minus the girl and how she is looking at you.
Angel - L.A. Weatherly
Please note the Paperback and Hardback detail might not always be right. E.g The paperback cover could also be in HB and other way round.

  1. I prefer the hardback version of Specials but then I haven't read the series so I can't tell which one would be the best ...
I can't wait to read Delirium and I'll definitely buy a HB copy ;)!!

  2. I just finished Delirium in the early hours of this morning, and completely agree that the plain covers do not do the book justice!

I agree with your choices this week, the girl on the PB of Angel looks kinda.. evil o.O Haha. I don't really like book covers that show a person's face. I'm not sure why.

  3. I like the hardbacks better. About Angel, no it is not in the US yet. I though Angel Burn was the sequel. I'll have to do some more research on that.

  5. Uglies: Hardcover. I agree with you, she does look evil. I haven't read the book to know if that fits the story.

Delirium: Ugh, I don't like either one, but between the two I prefer the paperback. I think the birds make it look cluttered. The ARC cover is so much better than both of these.

Angel: Hardcover. The girl in the paperback looks strange. I think the deal is that Angel was published in the UK first and now Angel Burn is the American edition that hasn't come out yet.

  6. Angel Burn is the US title and Angel is the UK title. They are the same book but the UK version is out now and the US version will be out in May. In the UK they are more apt to release a new novel in paperback than in hardcover.
