The Time Will Come #87

The Time Will Come -
Every Thursday l am going to list a book which l really want to read/keep meaning to get to. These are mostly books which have been on my shelf for awhile now but don't have to be, maybe you got it two weeks ago and really want to read it!

This is one of those books which  have put me off due to their size. It's over 500 pages so that's quite a big book for me. I always worry that if I can't get into a big book that well but don't want to put it down it will take me weeks to read it.
It takes a lot for me to put a book down, I have to really not like it at all.
Hopefully when I do get to this book i will fall in love with it so it won't take long to read or bore me.
It does sound like a great book! Let me know if you have read it and what you thought of it if you have =)

The Blurb
After Renee Winters discovers her parents lying dead in California’s Redwood Forest in what appears to be a strange double murder, her grandfather sends her off to Gottfried Academy in Maine, a remote and mysterious high school dedicated to philosophy, “crude sciences,” and Latin: the Language of the Dead. It’s here she meets Dante, a dark and elusive student to whom she feels inexplicably drawn.
As they get to know each other better, Dante can’t seem to control his attraction either, and their desires gradually deepen into a complex and dangerous romance. Dangerous because Dante is hiding a frightening secret. A secret so terrible, it has him fearing for Renee’s life.
Dante’s not the only one with secrets, though. Turns out Gottfried Academy has a few of its own... Like, how come students keep disappearing? Why are the prefect-like Monitors creeping around campus during the night? And what exactly are the Headmistress and Professors really up to? Renee is determined to find out why.
Dead Beautiful is both a compelling romance and thought-provoking read, bringing shocking new meaning to life, death, love, and the nature of the soul.

  1. I put off reading this one as well because of the size! But then I had some freetime one afternoon and starting reading and I flew through it. Once I got going, it really didn't feel that long at all.

  2. I recently read a book well over 500 pages. I couldn't really get into it, but I insisted on reading it because I was hoping it would get better. It didn't, and it took me several weeks to plow through it.

I read Dead Beautiful. I really enjoyed it, and I didn't even seem like a tome when I was reading it.

    1. It's horrible when you really don't want to put a book down but it drags on!
Thanks, I hope I enjoy this one too
