.... The Blurb  ...

The summer before my senior year of high school I had only one goal: to make Alden Warner see me as more than his best friend’s annoying little sister.

Finally, my wish came true and he noticed me. In a big way. Too bad that the next morning he had no memory of our night together, leaving me heartbroken, and as I later discovered…pregnant.

For the last four years, I’ve been rocking the single mom thing, making sure my daughter comes first. In fact, everything is going fine—until Alden storms back into my life, as my new boss.

His reappearance wasn’t something I planned for. Add my nosy, meddlesome three-year-old and an overprotective brother, and I’m obviously in way over my head.

My only hope now is that I can sway Alden to see things my way…but you know what they say about the best laid plans…
.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
Best Laid Plans is honest and real which creates a refreshing read.
- Alden is a top guy.
- Such a perfect balance of everything from love to heart break.

In Long
Best Laid Plans is such a charming and sweet read that is full of different emotions and point of views which really creates a great dynamic. This is my first book by L.K. Farlow and I really enjoyed her writing.

What I found refreshing and different about Best Laid Plans was how Natalie knew she had made a mistake and she was willing to accept that there were consequences and what was even more refreshing with her was there were no 'buts'. I really liked her and felt I could understand her dilemma.

Alden is a top guy who I really liked as well. I enjoyed his relationship with Natalie's brother too and found it really endearing and funny in places where it needed a bit of light heartiness. I was totally engrossed seeing his inner battle with himself and what he would do because his emotions are completely 'in the air' throughout the book and he doesn't just have his feelings to think of but many others including his daughter's.

Final Thoughts
Best Laid Plans kept me totally invested in the story throughout the whole book. It's such a perfect balance of both heart break, love, new and old relationships and so much more.

Quotes
'But his wrong. So wrong. I'm far from good, and when he discovers all of my truths, he'll see.'
'Without even thinking about it, I wrap her in my arms and hug her tight.'

'With fire and forever dancing his eyes babe. He looks at you like you're his lifeline.'
