Ok ok, I will admit it. Another book which grabbed my attention because of the awesome cover. 
Especially as it's finally getting warm in England I really want some summery easy going books. Doesn't this book sound just like that?
I love how colourful the title is and the picture on the front. Kinda cheesy but also hot.
I wouldn't want to read these sort of books all the time but for a little read in the summer, I love them!

This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.

Top Ten Books I Recommend The Most

An old one I missed. 

Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy - E.J James

There is something about this book which can never make me forget it. The characters really were the best fictional characters ever and felt so real to me. I recommended this constantly and a few family members read this due to my recommendation.  

Delirium - Lauren Oliver
Oh how I adored this book SO much. I was so emotionally charged and connected with this book. I hated putting it down and having to enter the real work again.

Pushing the Limits - Katie McGarry

With the other two books I mentioned I went into them knowing they were very popular and that I was more than likely going to love them. With Pushing The Limits I really didn't expect to love it as much as I did. Always so nice to be suprised

Trafficked - Sophie Hayes

You probably haven't heard of this book, it's a non fiction written by a girl who was sold into the sex industry. It was such a shocking read, I couldn't put it down. 

Time Between Us - Tamara Ireland

Oh I loved this book. It is labelled as the YA version of The Time Travelers Wife. I loved it and couldn't recommend0 it enough. 

Die For Me - Amy Plum
As I am writing this I still remember sitting in my boyfriends garden in the rare British sunshine reading this. I got into it straight away. I still can't believe I haven't read the rest of the series!


Stay - Deb Caletti
This book is so intense but I coudn't put it down. I still need to read another Deb book but I WILL. I adored this book and think she is an author I will love.

Bitter End - Jennifer Brown
I couldn't wait to read this book and did go into it hoping I would love it as much as I did, It didn't let me down, couldn't recommend it enough.

Divergent - Veronica Roth
It took me ages to get to this one, the second one was already out and I decided it was time to read Divergent. I loved it! Took me into another world.

The Scorpio Races - Maggie Stiefvater
I am a massive fan of Maggie and adore her books. She's one of those writers which really grabs my attention and keeps it through the whole book. The Scorpio Races was no difference!

Cover Crazy (#88)

I really can't make my mind up on this cover. Whenever I see it then I always think how pretty and unique it is but at the same time I can't decide whether it would grab my attention amongst a bookshelf of other books. 

I love this cover because :

- Definitely a unique cover, even more so for a YA book.
- I like how it's like a painting and the paints have 'dribbled' down like that. 
- I am intrigued about this book, it makes me wonder why this sort of cover was chosen for the book. Why a painting? And therefore makes me pick the book up.

Dislike :
- I feel like it's missing something which gives it the WOW factor.

Going Vintage - Lindsey Leavitt
I adore this cover, everything about it! I would definitely pick this book up.
I don't know why but when I love a cover so much I find it hard to explain why, going to give it a go anyway!

I love this cover because :

-  Love the 'old' feel of this cover with the camera.
- The dress she is wearing is so beautiful and really goes with the rest of the cover.
- I am really into pictures and editing and think the lighting behind the girl pretty much completes the cover as well as makes it feel very summery. 
- I like how there isn't lots of text on the front, just the title and author's name ensures your attention is on the picture.

I am so pleased to be able to bring such a great post as my first post back to blogging! I haven't yet read Delicate or Grounding Quinn but definitely hope to as soon as possible!

Thank you Steph for this great post, I love finding out more about the books from the authors point of view and has definitely made me very excited to read these books. 

I didn’t always want to be a writer. I know that goes against what I’m ‘supposed’ to say, or what most authors say, but it’s the truth. Not to say that I haven’t always written, I have. A lot. I just never considered it as a career until around 2006. I’d tried my hand at writing novels prior to that point, but they were melodramatic adult books with little voice, and I never finished one. Around 2005, I started reading young adult, and after devouring every YA title I could get my hands on for a year, I started writing DELICATE. 
I wrote the novel in about three weeks. We were waiting to be able to move into our new home, and my desk was disassembled and packed away, but Sydney, Trevor and Grant were so vivid in my mind, I had to get them out on paper. I hooked my PC up on the floor of my bedroom and sat on the carpet and wrote the entire thing. 
As soon as I finished writing Delicate, I began work on GROUNDING QUINN. While Quinn’s voice came easier for me, her story did not. If you’ve read the book, you know that she’s a complex, mess of a character. I really wanted to do her justice, and have people understand where she was coming from. She can be hard to love at times, but I wanted readers to want to stick with her. For that reason, Grounding Quinn took me almost an entire year to complete. 
Writing is still that way for me. Some books I am able to churn out in a matter of a few short weeks, while others, I have to let percolate, let their stories unfold slowly for me. Some books I plot out completely, chapter by chapter. Others, I write entirely from the hip. Every story is different. I think that not sticking to a set way of writing lets each story be unique, and each characters voice truer. 
It was several years before Delicate and Grounding Quinn were picked up by a publisher. But I didn’t stop writing. I kept at it, creating new stories, allowing new characters into my mind. 
I write every single day. Even if I don’t feel like it. Even if I don’t think the words are any good, and even when I end up deleting some of them the next day. If I’m not feeling a particular project one day, I move on to something else—whether it’s outlining a new story or editing one I’ve shelved. 
The market is changing so much, so quickly, but I think the main thing most important thing I’ve learned over and over again is that you can’t try to force something to follow a trend. You have to write what’s true to you and to your voice. If you do that, you will find your audience.

I'm Back!

Hi Everyone

I am so sorry for not blogging for a while but I am back now!

I do have some news of my own and a reason for not blogging and that is ....

I am going to be a mummy!!!

I have had quite bad morning sickness so haven't had any energy to do blogging. However I am slowly starting to feel better so should be back.

I have missed blogging lots ! =)
