.... The Blurb ....
They said write what you know so that's what I did. I wrote dirty, I wrote erotic, I wrote the truth.
And then they called me a liar. But it's not me who's lying, it's them.
Our story isn't for everyone. It's not even for us.
So if you're looking for the fairy tale and the stupid prince on his dumb white horse, move along. You've got a hold of the wrong book. This is not your story, this is not your life, and this is not your opportunity to dip your frightened little toe into the dark pool of water and "try new things" and then pull it out and decide... #NotForMe.
When you go in with us you go all in. So make a decision before you turn this page.
Because I'm making one promise with this book.
Just one.
We are The Dirty Ones and this is our truth.
The Dirty Ones is a brand new, thrilling, standalone romance about the secret world of erotica authors by New York Times bestselling author, JA Huss.
.... My Thoughts ...
In Short
- The Dirty Ones left me breathless and speechless.
- There is so much happening and I don't see any of it coming.
- Not just the main but all the characters carry depth.

In Long
This book has left me speechless. I don't know where to start with my review and worry I can't do it justice at all. It completely blew my mind.
I don't want to include any spoilers so won't go in to too much detail but The Dirty Ones surprised me in every way possible, I didn't see any of what happened coming. This is such a unique, shocking, thrilling, immersing read.
I found at a few points I had to put the book down (no matter how hard that was!) just to almost catch my breath and come back down to the real world because, while I was reading this, I just could hardly breath. My mind felt like it was spinning at 100 miles per an hour trying to comprehend what the hell was going on, why, how, what next. It's written in a way where you just try so hard to understand and see what is happening but right up until the last minute you are in the dark. It's enthralling.
I felt like J.A. Huss would throw us (the readers) a bone and then be like 'Oh actually, no' and take the bone away. All these little hints at things, all the twists and turns. The writing is mind blowing.
The main characters, Connor and Keira are written with depth and really add to the story, as do the other characters which, despite not being the main ones, all have the same depth.
