.... The Blurb  ....
“Sometimes love happens when you least expect it.” That was what my husband’s mistress told me the day I found out about their affair.

I didn’t believe it until five minutes later when mouth-watering celebrity chef Tanner Reese walked up, tossed his arm around my shoulders, and told my cheating husband to take a hike.

Tanner and I couldn’t have been more different. He spent his weekends at clubs, rubbing elbows with fellow A-listers. I spent mine in yoga pants with cheese boards and a glass of wine—or six.

Our relationship shouldn’t have worked, but it did. That is until Tanner proved to me that even though love happens when you least expect it...

So does heartbreak.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- I adored the chemistry between Tanner and Rita.
- Tanner is so swoon worthy.
- There are many scenes which had me laughing.

In Long
This is my first book by Aly and will not be my last, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's a true gem.

Tanner and Rita together are magical. The whole book is full of scenes that had me laughing, it's so witty and quirky.

It's not only when together that I loved Tanner and Rita. Tanner is so swoon worthy, I adored his character from the get go, especially seeing him with his brother. He is an irresistible mamas boy who I fell more and more in love with throughout this book.

Chapters from both characters POV is always a winner in my opinion and this was definitely the case with this book.  Rita is another brilliant character who I loved. This book really goes on a journey with her and as a reader it only made me feel closer to her.

Aly's writing is flawless and moreish. I just couldn't get enough even at the more slower paced parts. It's not a book full of twists and turns but with an author like Aly it just isn't necessary because the talent to create such unique characters is more than enough.

Final Thoughts
Across The Horizon is a book full of laughs as well as heart break. I can't wait to read more by Aly.

Quotes
'We're just two unspeakably sexy people who enjoy sarcasm, staring contests, and Slapsies and also happen to like holding hands and hanging out.'

'And, as I was learning, it was pure Tanner.'

'The terror and exhilaration of jumping out of a plane at fourteen thousand feet had nothing on the pure adrenaline-fuelled high of finally finding a women like Rita Hartley.'
