.... The Blurb ....
Son.
Lover.
Protector.
KING.
I’ve been many things to many people over the course of my life, but that title – King – has always been a tough pill to swallow. If I want to help Zara save her friend, then I must find a way to shoulder the pressure, though. I must unravel this complicated tangle of clues and hunt down a madman I thought I’d already killed three years ago in order to bring Sarah home in one piece.
My people are depending on me to protect them.
Zara is trusting me to keep her alive.
There isn’t a sacrifice I won’t make for her.
My Firefly.
My Queen.
I’ll raze this world to the ground to keep her safe…
.... My Thoughts ...
In Short
- Pasha is a lovable character who I loved seeing with Zara.
- I struggled to click with Zara like I did Pasha.
- The story line will leave you reeling.

In Long
Roma Queen is the highly anticipated conclusion to the Roma Royals duet, and after how Roma King ended, I couldn't wait to get started.
I really adore Pasha's character and how he is with Zara as well as his genuine caring and, at times, timid side which not many get to see but made him all the more lovable and realistic . I don't know if its how much I loved these two together but I felt like I just didn't get enough of them, they are together a lot but I craved the intense, full of fire scenes from them and didn't feel I got my fill.
Although I liked Zara I just didn't 'adore' her like I did Pasha, I kind of felt I didn't click with her by herself, only with Pasha. She is a fierce, resilient female who you will find yourself admiring and I really loved this about her, i just didn't form that connection with her myself.
There are a lot of secondary characters who all bring their own part to the story and have their own part to play. Callie gets the balance of giving the reader enough information about each one to give them life without it getting boring.
Some chapters lost me a little in the long pages of descriptive writing about the scene or feelings, I feel like this is something which when I re read back I could get more in to and was just dependent on my mood and waiting the action to kick in.
The story line is guaranteed to leave you reeling for days, if not weeks. As a Callie Hart fan you just know this is going to be the case before even starting one of her books. The writing and plot is always flawless, you can see the thought which has gone in to the story line and how Callie has submerged herself into it.
I very rarely re read books but I think Roma Royals Duet is a series which could easily be re read and still find it as gripping. There is so much going on I feel I may find it less overwhelming the second time too.
