.... The Blurb  ....
They say your first kiss should be earned.

Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.

They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.

Mine were broken before we left church.

They say your heart only beats for one man.

Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.

I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.

Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.

I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.

One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.

And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.
.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- TKT was a roller coaster of a ride.
- Although it didn't grab me from the first page once I was sucked in I couldn't stop!
-The plot is full of twists with a unique spice.

In Long
Finishing TKT felt like I had just gotten off a roller coaster ride, one with so many ups and downs I am still not sure what to think or feel.

The Kiss Thief wasn't a book which grabbed me from the first page. This, I admit, did frustrated me as I just wasn't sure why or what was missing. I WANTED and NEEDED to become more invested in this world that LJ Shen was creating because I knew this book would be a good ride once I was able to.

Everything clicked at around 35% of the book and I gathered that I had yet to feel invested with Francesca. Ye I know it's cliche but it wasn't her, it was me. I guess maybe I didn't connect with her. I felt she was a bit of a step over, naive at times. However having been through what she had and how she was brought up I came to realise it would be expected. Once I was able to feel a connection with her I really become enthralled in this cruel but addictive new world.

Wolfe is not a simple character, not a straight a hole but so far from a lovable character at the same time and I loved this. I felt L.J. Shen pushed boundaries with him.

The plot is so twisted, so enthralling, so different. It may have taken me a while but once I was sucked in there was no time to breath.

Final Thoughts
TKT is addictive, entertaining and moreish.

Quotes
'Falling in love was so tragic. No wonder it made people so sad.'

'Another wall fell between us. I wanted to raise it back up, but not as much as I wanted to hurt her for exceeding my expectations.'

'He was, after all, the Narcissus to my Nemesis.'

'But that's the thing about love, isn't it? It's like death. You know it will happen one day. You just don't know how or why or when.'
