Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees
I have always loved these authors, for anyone who hasn't read any of their books l would really give them a go. Josie and Emlyn write together to give the reader the point of view from both the male character and the female character.
They have some great series of books where you really start to see the characters as your friends. Will do a post on them later today. Here's the book by them which l will be reading in a week or so.
We Are Family -
In affairs of the heart, how far can family loyalties be stretched before they snap? When an aunt she never knew existed phones Laurie Vale out of the blue, she soon discovers that everything she ever believed about her family is a lie. Fifty years earlier, in the idyllic coastal village of Stepmouth, a forbidden love affair and a devastating flood drove the Vale family apart, but now her aunt is determined that Laurie should know the truth. Laurie escapes to the balmy warmth of Majorca only to find the hopes and passions buried in the past resurfacing in the present. But the more she seeks to heal old wounds, the more she becomes ensnared in a complex love affair of her own. One that could destroy her family for good

I have to admit this cover was what really got my attention with this book, l brought it around a year ago and since it has sat on my shelf looking pretty. Hoping it won't disappoint!
All the Things we Didn't SayEmotional, issue-led fiction perfect for all fans of The Memory Keeper's Daughter and Jodi Picoult Tragedy came as if so often does: a teenage party, emotions running high, followed by a horrific car crash. A girl is left dead and a boy is forced to leave his home town, with a secret that he will carry with him forever! Years later, when Summer's mother disappears one summer, she is left with her father. Obsessed with an accident from years ago, he slowly descends into mental illness. And as he becomes more disorientated, he reveals small fragments of a secret that has been hidden since his youth, a secret that changes everything. Summer supports her father as much as she can but eventually realises that she has to escape. She finds refuge with her great-aunt, Stella. Feisty, fun-loving, and dying of cancer, Stella holds parts of the family secret. Slowly, things fall into place for Summer - or at least so she thinks! This is a story of the importance of family, of the damage a lie can do, and of how nothing is ever what it seems.
I'm looking forward to reading your review of ALL THE THINGS WE DIDN'T SAY. Sounds like a promising title--I especially like investigations of dad relationships.
