.... The Blurb  ....

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

But who said the devil was a he?

In my world, she was out to cause havoc on all our lives.

She’ll use the one thing I care most about to control me—force me into her Elite world, filled with sin, deceit, and power. And under her spell, I’ll lead a sinister brotherhood of seven at one of the most prestigious universities in New Orleans.

Seven tasks set forth by the devil herself, promising nothing less than the forbidden fruit of power. What they don’t understand is it will all end in bloodshed and regret.

They call me the alpha. The one in charge. The one with pride bigger than any task I could be given. And my pride won’t let me be anywhere but at the top of the food chain until she gives me what I truly want.

My task is Meghan Benedict.

She’s too pure for me to touch, too good for me to ruin—and the only thing standing in my way to freedom.

Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak...they’re for The Elite.

As they say, pride comes before the fall.

I am Mason Blackwell.

I am Pride.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- Pride has made me fall even more for this series.
- This was a real roller coaster of a ride.
- There is no let up in the twists and turns.

In Long
I didn't think I could fall even more in love with this series or become any more enthralled by the story line but oh my goodness, I totally have!

I was unsure where things were going to go from Lust. I originally thought, or assumed, it would start from where Lust finished so it was a pleasant surprise that I got to know Mason's story separately and in a lot more detail. Mason has one hell of a roller coaster of a story to tell us. One which had me engrossed from the first page.

The story line is very fast paced, there is no let up in the twists and turns. It felt like J.D. wanted to see just how much she could throw at the readers.

Mason is a strong, lovable character who I really grew to admire and care for. His story really puts him 'through the mill' and it's a true test of his character, this only made me fall for him even more with his loyal and caring character.

I instantly like Meghan, like I had with Mason. She felt very real and had a few different sides to her which were interesting to get to know, she is quite an innocent character who goes on a journey in this book. Meghan and Mason alone really added to the story but together they had so much chemistry I just couldn't get enough of them.

Final Thoughts
Pride is an amazing addition to this series and I am so excited for Wrath

Quotes
"You're like a gift, and I need you to know just how much I want to treasure you."

"He has me plunging deep into the thirsty sea of lust, drowning in everything he's offering me."
