Character interview with Maggie

Maggie, you have a very important job as a soul collector. How do you deal with this responsibility and what do you think it takes to be a soul collector.
I don’t really think about the resposibility anymore. I was taught by a talented Collector and I believe I am one of the best since I am dedicated to the job. To be a Soul Collector you must have patience but also take the time to home your skills. This job isn’t for every soul.

Do you feel you are a good soul collector?
Absolutely. This is my after-life and I take it very seriously.

Experiencing life for the first time in a hundred years must be daunting. What did you like the most that had changed in those 100 years?
I’ve been around humans for 100 years but since Collectors don’t hold their human memories, I had forgotten how much I loved food. And I am impartial to Ally’s housekeepers cooking.

You are both 100 years old and 17 years old when you enter Ally's life. How do you think this puts you apart from most other teenagers?
As a Soul Collector, I tend to distance myself from human emotions. I do believe I have a lot of experience with life in general but being a teenager is very different than just observing one. It’s difficult and demanding and unlike anything I’ve experienced (mostly because I can’t remember what it was like being one).
