The Blurb:
Eager to learn everything she can about her new abilities as an Immortal, Ever turns to her beloved Damen to show her the way. But just as her powers are increasing, Damen's are waning.
In an attempt to save him, Ever travels to the magical dimension of Summerland, where she learns the secrets of Damen's tortured past; a past which he has always kept hidden from her. But in her quest to cure Damen, Ever discovers an ancient text that details the workings of time. Now Ever must chose between turning back the past and saving her family from the accident that claimed their lives - or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows sicker every day...
My Review:
For me this book didn't get any better than the first one 'Evermore' apart from being funny in parts it stayed the same in terms of how much l enjoyed it.
The main thing l wanted in this book was to get to know the characters a bit more, mainly Damien. As a main character l felt Damien wasn't as strongly represented in the first book as a big character like the books which have done really well such as Twlight, Hush and Crescendo, Shiver and Linger etc.
In this book l didn't get to know Damien's character any more, reasons for which l can't explain or it will ruin the story.
This book follows Ever as she struggles to know who to trust, even people she loves she isn't sure if she can trust and l feel this makes the book have mystery around it. I do feel in places things were wrote about in too much detail and l got a bit bored just wanting the story to develop a bit faster as l found things were being repeated at some points.
Like with Evermore the book got faster paced towards the end and the last 70 pages l enjoyed the most which l found frustrating. The ending totally changed my mind on whether to read the next book or not and l will now be starting it tomorrow!
