Stalked by Death (Touch of Death, #2)
Why Necromancers Make Great Characters

Ever since I read Kelley Armstrong’s Darkest Powers series, I’ve loved necromancers. I mean the idea that a character can raise the dead is incredible because there are so many possibilities. You could bring back loved ones, which opens the story up for a lot of emotion. But you could also raise things that shouldn’t be raised, so the potential for horror is great. How can you go wrong with tugging on heartstrings and terrifying readers?

But the best part about writing a necromancer book is that no one is ever really gone for good. I’ve had some readers tell me they were upset about characters who didn’t make it through Touch of Death, but when you have a cast of powerful necromancers, the possibilities are endless. The dead don’t stay dead. Well, maybe they do stay dead, but they don’t stay buried.

Stalked by Death was so much fun to write because there are more zombies in this book. There’s also a new necromancer who sends Jodi’s power out of control. And when a necromancer’s powers go crazy, you know the result: tons of zombies. Jodi even raises the dead in her sleep, and you can imagine all the trouble that causes. So while I love just about every paranormal creature there is, necromancers are my favorite to write about.
