Upcoming Release - Sir Loin of Beef

I am so excited to share this with you, I can not wait for this series!! I love that there are gradual releases.
Check out the WHOLE series here

Sir Loin of Beef by Vanessa Vale
Coming 11th October
They might call me Sir Loin of Beef, but when I see Kaitlyn for the first time, stick a fork in me, I'm done. But I won't claim her alone. Jed Cassidy and I share everything, and that includes her. If the sweet little librarian isn't ready to be wrangled by two rodeo champs, we'll just have to break her in nice and slow. She's ours. We will win her over—body and soul—and when we do? Well, let's just say we'll give her a hard ride...and it'll last a hell of a lot longer than eight seconds.

Kaitlyn Leary takes one look at the sexy cowboys and can't remember the last time she was so eager for a double helping of... big beef. But giving in to desire might ruin everything. Because the truth is that this small town librarian isn't all she seems. Landon Duke and Jed might be talking about a future of picket fences and making babies, but the past could destroy it all. Still...two cowboys?

Who could resist?

Remember: With a Vanessa Vale book, one cowboy is never enough. In this smokin' hot new series, each heroine gets an extra helping (or two) of Grade-A Beefcake.

But can she trust the tortured ex-priest to keep her safe?

Should she run from New York as fast as possible?
Or should she stand and fight?

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- There is no let up in the suspense of the story line.
- Surprises, Suspense, Hot scenes.
- I finished it on a book high.

In Long
I tend to find with a trilogy there is always one book which is a little slower or one which isn't quite as good as the others. This is not the case with Dirty, Nasty, Freaks. The storyline is intense throughout all three books, forever keeping the reader guessing as to not just what is going to happen next but what the characters are going to do.

Surprises ?? Check !
Suspense ?? Check!
Hot scenes ?? Check!
Strong characters which still continue to grow ?? Check !

This series has everything! I can not recommend this trilogy enough, everything is just gripping and breath taking. Callie has created the perfect potion with Fix and Sara, the chemistry is off the charts and Fix is HOT!!!

Final Thoughts
I finished this trilogy on a book high. I found it so hard putting my Kindle down and didn't but then when I actually came to the end was devastated to say bye to Fix and Sara no.

Quotes

“We were more than just Fix and Sera, now. We were far more than that, unbreakable and indestructible, and heaven help anyone who tried to fuck with us.”

“Better men would pretend. They’d make sure you were safe, and they would leave you the fuck alone. I’m the very worst kind of creature, the fucking worst, because I can’t do that. I can’t fucking let you go. I’m in love with you, Angel. And it will be the death of us both.”

“He had the face of an angel, the body of a god, and a mouth that could make the devil blush.”

 ... The Blurb  ...

“First, he held a gun to my head. Then he blew my world apart..."

Dante Santiago is a criminal with no conscience. He’s a whisper of a name, a faceless stranger… A man content to dwell in the shadows of his underworld.

Dante’s enemies found a weakness in him once. He’ll never let it happen again. That’s until the night Eve Miller walks past him on a dirty, desolate street. Now she’s his captive, kept at the whim of a man with no kindness or morality.

Eve’s an innocent, his angel, but she too is harboring a dark secret. For years she’s been fighting a private war with the illegal drugs trade, with the cartel responsible for murdering her brother. She’s closer to revenge than she’s ever been until Dante’s duplicity blows her world apart.

Theirs is a relationship borne of hate but neither can deny the fire that rages between them. But Dante’s a haunted man. He knows only pain and suffering until Eve sees a spark of light buried deep within the shadows of his heart.

Soon Eve must make a choice. Save Dante Santiago’s soul or lose herself to his darkness forever…

 ... My Thoughts ...

In Short
- I couldn't stop thinking about Eve and Dante
- I loved the interactions between Eve and Dante.
- Catherine doesn't give you a chance to breath a sigh of relief with the fast paced story line.

In Long
Have you ever been drawn into a book so quickly you couldn't put it down after the first line? Hearts of Darkness did exactly that, it pulled me in so quickly and all I could think about was Eve and Dante's story. It captivated my mind.

I absolutely loved the interactions between Eve and Dante, even without a strong storyline I just know I would have loved watching these two together. Their chemistry is real, raw and wrong. Wrong for so many reasons but right for so many too.

The storyline is very fast paced. Catherine doesn't give you a chance to breath a sigh of relief before the next bomb shell, the next heart pumping scenes where you are on the edge of your seat. Constantly left guessing throughout what is going to happen. I was hanging on every word, needing to see what would happen next.

Dante isn't someone you mess with but he also doesn't hide from who he is. He knows exactly who is he and what he does and I found this very refreshing. His character is so intense and intriguing, i  just couldn't get enough of him. I know I shouldn't like him or fall for him but that's exactly what happened, i totally fell for him.

Eve is someone who I warmed to quickly, she's someone I would want to be friends with in real life. She's strong but not indestructible which makes her so real. Her come backs made me smile every time and I wanted to cheer her on with how she dealt with situations.

Final Thoughts
As I finished Darkness of Hearts and put my kindle down it took me a while to feel like I was actually back in the real world and not in Dante and Eves story anymore. Throughout the whole book I forgot about anything but their story and finished it with a serious case of 'book hangover'. I cant WAIT for book two!!!!!!!!!

Quotes
'He is my best of times and my worst...'

'Take off that dress, Eve, or so help me god l'll rip it from your body.'

I don't want to do anymore quotes to ensure my review is spoiler free.

 .................................... My Thoughts   ....................................
In Short
- Magic Man had me smiling from the first few pages.
-I really liked seeing their relationship and reading to see what direction things would go in.
- Magic Man is a gentle romance book

In Long
I started Magic Man having just finished a really intense and dark book and was so relieved when I found Magic Man was just what I needed. Magic Man had me smiling from the first few pages, I loved Millie's interactions with her smarty pants daughter, Ivy.

Millie and Ivy are a fab pair and have such a lovely bond, it was really lovely reading and getting to know these two. Any scenes with them in were heart warming and at a few points in this book I got a nice warm feeling.

Maxwell is probably every girls dream! He is just what both Millie and her daughter need but Millie isn't so sure. Millie is a vulnerable character which Maxwell sees from the start and acts on this. I really liked seeing their relationship and reading to see what direction things would go in. Personally for me though I like a bit more of a build up than what I felt there was in Magic Man.

Magic Man is quite a calm book with not much 'drama' as per se but I enjoyed the characters which Ashley created.

Final Thoughts
Magic Man is a gentle romance book which was lovely to read and despite it not being 'gripping' I did enjoy reading it and the slower paced book was just what I needed.

Quotes
Nobody just rode a bike their first time. Everybody knew, you started small, and then moved on from there. Dating Maxwell was like jumping on a Harley when what you really needed was a pink My Little Pony bike with training wheels.
