.... The Blurb  ....
A standalone, romantic thriller novel where obsession is the name of the game.

Recruited to the FBI Cas Mathews has one focus - catch the killer. That's until officer Alta Johnson shoves her way on to the team, making him fantasize about the delicious curves she hides beneath her park ranger uniform. Alta’s natural beauty catches his immediate attention, but the strength behind her fierce gaze is what holds him captive - demanding he learns more about her.

As the team grows close, the serial killer shifts focus putting them all in danger. Cas should walk away before their sizzling attraction distracts him and gets them both killed. But as the threat pushes Cas and Alta closer, the temptation turns too hot for either to resist.

With their focus diverted the threat zeroes in, catching everyone off guard. Figuring out the players in the killer's cat and mouse game is key to Alta’s survival. Cas swore he would protect her but with the clues carefully hidden, can he figure it out before Alta disappears for good?

Mine to Protect is a standalone, romantic thriller novel based in the beautiful mountains of the Rocky Mountain National Park.

.... My Thoughts   ...
In Short
- I can not wait to read more by the very talented Kennedy.
- The main characters are both well thought out, unique characters.
The story line is full of suspense which is written at a action packed pace.

In Long
This was my first book by Kennedy and I can not wait to read more by her. Her writing is truly enthralling, the sort which grabs you and makes you crave just 'one more page'.

Cas and Alta are both unique, intriguing,  well thought out characters which both really grow throughout this book. Following them and their journey was a whole book within itself. Putting them together creates an explosion every time they are together. They fit perfectly but their journey was never one destining to be an easy one.

The secondary characters are what help to make this book, they don't feel 'in the background' like secondary characters do in a lot of books. Instead they are as important and developed as Cas and Alta, all with their own personality traits and part in the story.

Woah was the story line suspenseful, I couldn't breath at times or control the crazy speed at which I was trying to read to find out what would happen. It completely had me engrossed to a whole new level. I have to admit, I couldn't put the book down without skim reading the next chapter or so, and then going back to re read properly when I next picked it up.

Final Thoughts
Completely gripping, immersing read.
