In Short

- Stealing Beauty is a dark romance with a fast paced story line.
- It was really unpredictable.
- There were a few parts which frustrated me but I still really enjoyed this book.

In Long

This is my first book by Julia and it won't be my last. What a talented author who has combined suspense, steamy scenes alongside a tough story line with damaged but addictive characters.

Stealing Beauty is a dark romance with a fast paced story line and some pretty intense scenes that got my heart racing. I loved how everything was unpredictable and you really couldn't make assumptions.

There were some parts which did frustrate me a little, Adrian assuming the worst of Valentina and not thinking outside of the box being a main one. However Julia did explain this further in the book and it started to make more sense as to why this was the case. 

Final Thoughts 

Stealing Beauty takes you on a raw journey with two characters who have both had a difficult journey in life. It's dark and addictive.

In Short

- Lani explores a new side to a romance book which has created a tear jerking read. 
- Falling for Bayou is guaranteed. 

In Long

One Chance, Fancy explores a whole new conception which I haven't read in a romance before. It's something which I was interested to see how it would play out and how Lani would explore the subject of the main male character having a  complex neurodevelopment disorder. It was done so expertly, slowly letting the reader get to know this beautiful character who you can't not fall for. 

Lani has really showed some unique writing skills with One Chance, Fancy and has created this fascinating, caring, unique character that became my addiction throughout this book. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly fall more for Bayou, that's exactly what happened, fall more I did.

Phoebe is a passionate character who just fits so perfectly into the story. I absolutely adored her and her strong willed but attentive and patient character, she couldn't fit more perfectly into Bayou's world. 

The chemistry is gentle but also raw, confusing but truthful. I couldn't get enough of them together.

Final Thoughts 

Heart warming, tear jerking, eye opening beautifully written romance.

Renee Harless, her husband, and children live in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She studied Communication, specifically Public Relations, at Radford University.

The blurb for Possession hints at an intense, suspenseful read and this is exactly what you get. 

My first Black Light book and my first L.K. Shaw read, this excites me so much because I crave more of both! L.K. Shaw's writing mixes everything you want in a dark romance book, creating an exciting cocktail which I couldn't drink fast enough.

The mix of the hot, saucy scenes with the gripping story line make for an addictive read but then add in two HOT doms, well, read this book at your own risk. Joseph and Nathaniel are mind blowing, both giving their own spark to the scenes with their very different personalities. I don't know about Madeline but couldn't get enough of them.

Final Thoughts 

A dark romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat while hot under the collar, unable to breathe.
